It had been asked if IMCA would allow us to have a double feature night on the Sept. 18 to make-up the August 7th rain-out race. The answer is no- since the event was not started we cannot have a double feature per IMCA rules. The event would of needed to have heats complete and main event lined up to be able to continue with a double feature. The race could of been made up- but due to scheduling conflicts with other IMCA tracks, series' and other sactioned cla**es, rescheduling was not possible. So, we will just be having a regular IMCA show on the 18th.  This will end the 2010 IMCA points at DMS.

Races start at 6:00 with drivers meeting at 5:00

Sept. 11th race starts at 6:00 PM with the drivers meeting at 5:00 PM. Mylaps results have been updated so be sure to check them out, the link is posted on the main DMS page , also Wendy Karren was on hand to snap some shots during this past weekend, check her website out at www.wildlifestitch.photoreflect.com, as of today they are not uploaded but check back soon.

I would also like to thank Greg Knight of the Vernal Express for the coverage of last weekends race, we appreciate him coming out to the track and welcome him back anytime

The Sept. 11th race will be visited by the American Legion doing the National Anthem and flag ceremony followed by a moment of silence for the victims of 9/11, be sure to come out and show your patriotism, More details to follow......

Cla**es on the 11th consist of Mini , Pure & Street Stock, Dwarf Cars, IMCA Modifieds (non-sanctioned again) and Mountain States Late Models!! Only 1 more race after this on Sept 18th, Don't miss out!

Awesome conditions and long hours are paying off- Many, Many Thanks to both Danny Mortensen and J.R Hogue, and anyone else that volunteers for their time for their services!!!! Kudos guys!

I just wanted to comment on the track conditions the last 2 races at DMS.  What ever you wonderful volunteers have been doing different is working great.  The track stays really good all night and the dust is basically non existent.  Whoever this person or persons is (Danny) you are doing a great job and I for one appreciate it.

Also last night to recive IMCA sanctioned points at DMS. Last chance to obtain Utah State IMCA points will be in Price Utah Sept. 24th & 25th at the Castle Country Clash.

Rain-out race from August 7th is on hold for now, but it will NOT be made up August 28th, we may do a double feature night to showcase the rained out street stock cla** instead. Concerns of a IMCA track champ without the 8 sanctioned races will be pro-rated to 4 for DMS so we will be able to award a champ and drivers will be able to qualify for IMCA bonuses.

July 30th at 10:00 AM ALL CLa**ES are welcome to come display their cars in front of Western Park- It's a GREAT way to advertise the track, and show your support towards your sponsors!!! Free to the public and free to display your cars- 

The Uintah County Fair has also advertised a all dwarf car outdoor arena race at 7:00 later that night- Most of the dwarfs are headed to Blackfoot ID- but for those of you that are not going- we would like to do this, the fair has advertised this for us- We do need to know asap if you are attending or it will be canceled- volunteers are needed also for the race!
